Live as you will

By some miracle the amount of work at the office today became manageable. I was tempted to go and look outside our office window to see if the pigs have gotten wings.

A lot of things running around in my mind these days. And it's begun to take its toll. The indefatigable tempo of my heart has been reduced to a sad adagio. I used to believe that the only way to live life was to go all out. Work like hell, then play like the devil himself. Seize the day, take everything you can and never look back. Live like the sun will no longer rise tomorrow. Live as if all of those you love will no longer exist after today.

It's not true.

Life isn't short. Neither is it long. Each one of us gets a lifetime. Nothing less, nothing more. Live as you will, but never believe that life has a limit. Only the unimaginative can think as such. The devil can wait. There will always be work for the willing. The sun will rise tomorrow. And most importantly, there will always be someone who'll love you after today.

Like I said, I used to believe that taking the bull by the horns was the only way to go. Well, I've been taken for a ride for quite a while now. Time to get off.
